Description
The Focusrite Clarett+ 8Pre is an 18-in/20-out USB-C audio interface with eight Clarett+ mic preamps, all-analogue Air mode, and 24-bit/192kHz conversion in a 1U rackmount chassis.
Preamps and Outputs
All eight XLR/1/4" combo inputs accept mic and line sources, with channels 1 and 2 featuring high-impedance JFET instrument inputs. The analogue Air circuit on every preamp replicates the impedance and frequency character of the ISA 110 transformer design. Ten balanced line outputs provide flexible routing for multi-speaker monitoring, outboard processing, and cue mixes.
Digital Expansion
Full digital expansion is available through ADAT I/O (eight channels in and out), stereo S/PDIF, and word clock. MIDI I/O rounds out the connectivity. The chassis uses a standard IEC mains power connection.
