Description
The Eclipse Neptune is a baby-jumbo cutaway acoustic-electric for gigging players who want a bigger sound. The Neptune is a baby-jumbo based on Patrick James Eggle's Saluda shape, with a 16" lower bout. It gives much of the volume of a full 17" jumbo in a body that is easier to hold. Faith designed the Eclipse series as stage guitars. A Fishman INK BODY preamp combines an undersaddle piezo with a body sensor under the bridge plate, and a body control sets how much body tone and percussion goes into the mix. A figured maple forearm contour makes the guitar more comfortable to play, and the series uses no animal products: the rosette, inlay and logo are figured maple.
The solid Engelmann spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides give presence with a full body, and the onyx-black finish under clear lacquer tames the resonance for a balanced, focused tone when amplified.
