Description
The Blood Moon Neptune is a baby-jumbo cutaway acoustic-electric in solid trembesi, first made in 2017, for singer-songwriters and strummers who want a balanced tone plugged in or unplugged. The Neptune is a baby-jumbo based on Patrick James Eggle's Saluda shape, with a 16" lower bout. It gives much of the volume of a full 17" jumbo in a body that is easier to hold.
Trembesi is an Indonesian tonewood that behaves much like mahogany, with warmth and balance across the strings and a little more sparkle in the highs. The Blood Moon burst finish, flamed maple binding and ebony fittings show off the grain, which differs on every guitar. A Fishman INK3 preamp with a built-in tuner and 3-band EQ drives an undersaddle piezo pickup, and the output socket and battery box are built into the end of the guitar.
