As part of the RS Subwoofer Series, the RS118 is engineered with the latest powerful transducers featuring enhanced motor strength, optimizing both system weight and low-frequency output. Designed with the needs of audio professionals in mind, this subwoofer is equipped with on-board 1500-watt Class-D amplification, providing the power necessary to meet demanding performance environments. The RS118 is meticulously crafted with a vented enclosure and incorporates EAW's DynO dynamic optimization processing to ensure efficient power transfer from the amplifier to the transducer, resulting in enhanced headroom and the integrity of sound at maximum output levels.
The RS118's 18-inch premium transducer with a 3-inch voice coil is designed for deep, powerful bass and clear low-frequency reproduction. EAW's signature DynO algorithms optimize the subwoofer's performance by enhancing the overall system's sound quality and output while preserving clarity. The RS118 also includes dual tunings that allow users to choose between two operating modes - Normal and Punch - providing flexible performance to meet the specific demands of different environments and applications. The included EAW Resolution software platform makes it easy to simulate and predict the performance of one or more RS118 subwoofers within a specific venue, helping users achieve the best possible sound quality and coverage for any event.
With a maximum SPL of 133 dB (peak, half-space) and an operating range from 27 Hz to 125 Hz, the RS118 is capable of delivering deep, punchy bass and powerful output for a wide range of applications. The subwoofer features a nominal beamwidth of 360° horizontal x 360° vertical, ensuring even and consistent sound dispersion throughout the venue. The RS118's crossover options, set at either 80 Hz or 110 Hz, allow for easy integration into existing sound systems. This subwoofer's performance is complemented by its ergonomic handles for easy transportation, a rugged grille for protection, and a RoadCoat enclosure for enhanced durability. It also includes a pole cup for mounting full-range loudspeakers and optional casters for ease of movement during setup and teardown.
