Description
The EAW NT119S is a self-powered 19-inch subwoofer for EAW's Newport Series, built to give production companies and integrators more low end than a single 18-inch box without moving up to a larger format. Its high-excursion 19-inch driver with a 4-inch voice coil moves 25% more air than a comparable 18-inch design, and 4,000 W of onboard Class-D amplification delivers 136 dB maximum SPL with extension down to 25 Hz. With the amplifier in the cabinet, there is no external amp rack to load in.
Built for the Newport Series
The NT119S is the low-frequency partner for EAW's NT206L and NT208L line arrays. It flies in an array with the optional rigging kit and flybar, or ground-stacks under the tops. Onboard DSP carries four crossover presets at 60, 80, 100 and 120 Hz, so it matches a full-range system without outboard processing, and a rear-panel Cardioid Mode keeps low-frequency energy off the stage when the subs are set up in a cardioid arrangement.
