The EAW MKD1296 is a 1200W passive 2-way installation loudspeaker designed to deliver high-output sound with exceptional broadband pattern control and superior fidelity. Engineered for professional audio environments, the MKD1296 excels in venues ranging from large stadiums to smaller, acoustically demanding spaces such as music clubs. With dual 12-inch low-frequency transducers, a 2-inch exit, 4-inch voice coil compression midrange driver, and a 2-inch exit, 2.5-inch voice coil compression high-frequency driver, the MKD1296 produces clear, powerful audio across a broad frequency range. Its white finish ensures it blends seamlessly into visually sensitive environments, making it perfect for installations where both aesthetics and performance are essential.
Part of the MKD installation loudspeaker series, the MKD1296 incorporates core technologies from EAW's QX series, including beamwidth-matched crossover technology. This allows the acoustically advanced transducers to operate an octave lower than standard drivers, improving low-frequency response while maintaining clarity and accuracy across the entire frequency spectrum. The speaker features a nominal beamwidth of 90° horizontal and 60° vertical, ensuring even and controlled sound coverage across a wide area. With a maximum SPL of 145 dB and a flat SPL of 139 dB, the MKD1296 can produce high-output sound while maintaining clarity and detail, even at high volumes. The speaker's operating range extends from 47Hz to 20kHz, ensuring it covers the full spectrum of audio content with exceptional fidelity.
Designed for durability and installation flexibility, the MKD1296 features a compact Baltic birch enclosure that provides strength and rigidity while minimizing weight. The speaker includes 12 M10 mounting points, making it easy to rig securely in various configurations.
