The EAW MK80PL-WP is a 450W passive 2-way portable loudspeaker, engineered to deliver exceptional sound quality with durability and versatility for both mobile and installed applications. As part of the MKC series, the MK80PL-WP showcases a sophisticated evolution in coaxial loudspeaker design. It features an 8-inch low-frequency transducer combined with a 1-inch exit compression driver and a 35mm voice coil, delivering powerful audio that rivals high-end studio monitors. The white finish makes it suitable for environments where aesthetic integration is important, while the IP56 rating ensures it can withstand harsh conditions, offering dust and water resistance for both indoor and outdoor use.
Performance-wise, the MK80PL-WP excels with a maximum SPL of 132 dB (12 dB crest factor) and 126 dB (6 dB crest factor), ensuring it can produce loud, clear sound across a broad spectrum of frequencies. With an operating range of 60Hz to 20kHz and axial sensitivity of 93 dB, the speaker is designed to deliver high-fidelity audio with excellent dispersion, even at high output levels. The nominal beamwidth of 90 x 60 degrees, which is rotatable, allows the MK80PL-WP to adapt to various spatial configurations, ensuring optimal sound coverage in both vertical and horizontal orientations. Designed for flexibility, the MK80PL-WP offers a range of mounting options to suit different installation needs. It can be mounted horizontally or vertically using the optional pan & tilt wall bracket, and it can also be installed on a ceiling or microphone stand with the included M6 threaded points. Additionally, the speaker features two M10 suspension points for permanent rigging solutions. The MK80PL-WP supports 70V/100V transformer options, making it suitable for large-scale distributed audio systems. The speaker is optimized for use with the companion UXA4401 amplifier, which enhances the speaker's performance through EAW's Focusing and DynO DSP technologies, ensuring clear and dynamic sound delivery across a wide frequency range.
