Description
The Duesenberg D-Tron is a transparent, low-output humbucker with defined, sparkling trebles. It delivers the bass tone associated with players like Chet Atkins and Brian Setzer: low impedance coils fitted into a humbucker housing, with a thick Alnico magnet providing the output and the sparkle. Duesenberg fits three of them to the Starplayer TV Custom. This is the neck version with a gold cover.

In Use
At 4.3 kOhm the D-Tron neck pickup is wound slightly lighter than the bridge version so the two balance in a set. The low output keeps the neck position clear rather than muddy, which suits rockabilly, country and jazz players who want humbucker quiet with a tone closer to a vintage single coil.
