Description
With the Rusty Relic, Duesenberg brings you the ultimate experience in sophisticated craftsmanship.
Constructed in the same complex way as our regular Starplayer TV, the surface on this Special Edition is coated with a thin layer of metal particles, which are then aged to achieve a unique rusty steel patina.
Because this process is entirely done by hand, every single instrument has its own special look and details, that make all of them a gorgeous one of a kind.
The Starplayer TV has become a gold standard for musicians around the world.
With this Custom Shop special edition, we are continuing to add to that legacy.
Features
- Semi-Hollow Construction: Semi-Hollow construction made from wood and finished with a real, magnetic layer of metal particles. Every piece is aged and processed by hand to achieve the unique Rusty look.
- Premium Pickups: Features a special aged-nickel edition set of the GrandVintage Humbucker and Domino P90 that delivers outstanding clarity, tonal range and versatility in any situation. At home in any genre.
- Plek Processed: A Plek processed fretboard guarantees perfectly level frets. This is the basis for our multi-step fret polishing and setup work that eventually makes all our instruments play like nothing you have ever played before.
One of a kind. - Every single time.
The Starplayer TV Rusty Relic is always aged by hand in a complex process that makes every single instrument unique.
It also brings everything else you need in a great instrument. The acclaimed set of Duesenberg pickups delivers unrestricted versatility for any genre or situation. A roadworthy construction created from spruce and maple makes this instrument a partner for life. And last but not least, the amazing Duesenberg Diamond Deluxe vibrato unit leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to bending chords.
Naturally, the Starplayer TV Rusty Relic also receives our famous PLEK treatment in which all the frets are levelled by a CNC based system to achieve maximum comfort and playability during the setup work.
Pickups? - Dream team!
Duesenberg Pickups are known for their distinct, clear and versatile tone that easily cuts through the mix from mellow Jazz to supercharged Rock.
Our creamy Domino P90 in the neck position and the classically voiced GrandVintage Humbucker at the bridge form an all-around dream team many have tried to replicate. The acclaimed middle position of the Heavy Duty 3-Way Switch features a special wiring which filters certain low-end frequencies out of the humbucker signal. The result is an open, funky and extremely versatile addition to your pallet of tone.
