Description
D16 Decimort 2 is a high-quality bit crusher that models the full AD/DA resampling path of classic samplers, not just crude bit reduction. It adds the grit and coloration of early sampler hardware while keeping unwanted digital artifacts under control.
Resampling Path Control
Beyond sample-rate and bit-depth reduction, Decimort 2 includes approximative anti-alias and image filters, adjustable resampling jitter, controllable dithering, and two quantization algorithms (mid-raiser and mid-tread) with different dynamic responses. A multimode resonant filter can sit pre or post the resampler for further tone shaping.
