- Three levels of Key Off Response control how quickly the sound decays when a key is released. A slightly more legato or staccato feel can be selected to suit the song.
- Key Off Simulator controls how quickly the sound fades after a key is released depending on how quickly the key is released. This attention to the finest nuances of how a grand piano responds to the player's expression is typical of the PX-S5000.
- Digital effects, including Sound Modes, Chorus, Brilliance and other DSP effects, add depth and space to sounds.
- Layer function for layering of two different tones, and Split function for splitting the keyboard between lower and upper zones with a bass tone assigned to the lower zone and a freely assignable tone for the upper zone.
- Duet function for splitting the keyboard into two zones of the same register.
- Built-in MIDI record/playback and metronome functions for practice sessions.
- Part on/off function allows you to mute the right- or left-hand part of song data saved in the user area of the digital piano or USB flash drive. Great for practicing each part separately. (Note that the effectiveness of this feature depends on the song data.)
- Two headphone jacks allow for up to two pairs of headphones to be connected for private listening.
- Record your playing as a standard WAV audio file on a commercially available USB flash drive for playback on a computer or other device.
