L-2E5 keeps the braided-shield construction of the L-2T2S in a 4.6 mm cable: two 26 AWG conductors of 30 ultra-fine 0.08 mm strands, twisted at an 18 mm pitch under a 97 percent coverage copper braid, with cross-linked polyethylene insulation and a PVC jacket that stays pliable to -49 C. The fine strands give it the flex life needed for lavalier and headset leads and short patch cords, and the braid coverage keeps electromagnetic noise out.
