Canare builds every 4S-series speaker cable in a four-conductor star quad layout. Because each conductor sits the same distance from the center, the magnetic fields from the opposing pairs cancel, and the cable radiates far less interference into nearby microphone and video lines than a two-conductor speaker wire. The 4S11 is the heavy gauge of the family: four 14 AWG conductors (41 x 0.26 mm) with polyethylene insulation and a PVC jacket that resists bending and twisting.
