Description
The Blackstar Unity 250ACT is a 250 W powered 1x15 bass cabinet that adds volume and low end to any Unity bass combo. Its custom-designed 15-inch Eminence Opus speaker has its own amplifier, and an XLR Thru lets you chain more 250ACT cabinets, each adding another 250 W. It also runs on its own with a bass preamp, amp modeler or effects processor, or as a passive 4 ohm cabinet.
Three Ways to Use It
With a Unity combo, an XLR cable from the combo's Cabinet Link output goes into the 250ACT's combined XLR and 1/4-inch input, and the combo's Master sets the level of both. Set the cabinet's Volume to full for the most power, or lower it to blend in extra low end at a quieter level. A Unity 250 or 500 with Chorus on runs in true stereo through the pair. On its own, the same input takes the output of an external preamp, modeler or effects unit. As a passive cabinet, the separate 1/4-inch Speaker Input takes up to 250 W at 4 ohms from a bass amp, with the mains power disconnected.
