Description
The Blackstar FLY 3 Stereo Pack pairs the FLY 3 mini guitar amp with the FLY 103 extension cabinet and a power supply. Linked together, the two make a 6-watt stereo setup for guitar, and the same pair works as desktop or portable speakers for music from a phone or computer. The FLY 3 brings two channels, Blackstar's patented ISF tone control and a digital tape delay.
How the Pair Works
The FLY 103 has its own built-in cable that plugs into the extension output on the back of the FLY 3. The amp runs on the included power supply at home, or on six AA batteries away from an outlet. The MP3/Line In jack takes a phone, tablet or laptop for playing along, and the speaker-emulated output feeds headphones or a recorder.
Tone Controls
The Clean channel moves from clean into crunch as Gain rises, and the Overdrive channel runs from the edge of break-up to a distorted lead tone. The ISF control sweeps the EQ from an American voicing with a tight low end to a woodier British voicing, and Delay Level and Delay Time set the tape-style echo.
