Description
The Blackstar FLY 3 Charge is a 3-watt mini guitar amp with a built-in rechargeable battery, so it plays for up to 18 hours between USB-C charges with no AA batteries to buy. It keeps everything from the original FLY 3: Clean and Overdrive channels, Blackstar's patented ISF tone control, a digital tape delay and a 3-inch speaker. Bluetooth streams backing tracks and music from a phone or tablet, and the emulated output feeds headphones or a recorder for quiet practice.
Charging and Battery
The amp runs on a lithium-ion battery that charges through the USB-C POWER IN port on the rear panel. A red LED stays lit while it charges, goes out when the battery is full and flashes when power runs low. Blackstar specifies a USB charger rated at no more than 5 V, 1.0 A, and warns against laptop chargers and other high-power USB-C chargers. For the best tone, unplug the charging cable while you play.
Stereo with the FLY 103
The FLY 103 extension cabinet, sold separately, plugs into the rear panel with its own built-in cable and turns the FLY 3 Charge into a 6-watt stereo setup for guitar or music playback.
