Description
The Blackstar XLR Cable is a 6 m (20 ft) microphone cable with a female XLR at one end and a male XLR at the other, for microphones and other balanced XLR connections on stage or in the studio. It uses 24 AWG oxygen-free copper conductors under braided copper and foil shielding, with a matte black PVC jacket and heavy-duty connectors with gold-plated pins.
Construction
Blackstar uses a braided shield because it lasts longer and insulates better than the spiral shield found in many lower-priced cables, and it adjusted the inner construction so the cable stays soft and flexible. The PVC jacket helps it resist tangling, and a shield ring reduces capacitance and handling noise. The cable ships in recyclable packaging with a hook-and-loop wrap for storage.
