Orders above $199 qualify for Free Standard Shipping.

Description
The Blackstar Artist FR Special is a 100 W powered 1x12 FRFR (full-range, flat-response) cabinet for guitarists who play through a modeler, profiler or pedal-format amp. Blackstar designed it to feel and respond like a guitar amp while reproducing amp models, captures and IRs accurately, using a custom flat-response speaker and its own cabinet and power amp designs. The 100 W Special has the power for rehearsals and larger performances.
EQ Voiced for Guitar
Bass, Middle and Treble form an active EQ with a center detent on each control, so the cabinet stays neutral until a room, a stage or a monitoring position calls for a correction. Presence trims the top end with a low-pass filter. Adjusting the cab this way leaves your modeler patches untouched from venue to venue. A Clip LED lights if the incoming level or the volume pushes the preamp or power amp too hard.
Connections and Setup
The combo input on the back takes a line-level signal on 1/4-inch TS/TRS or XLR. The XLR output passes that signal on to a PA, mixer or interface, buffered and balanced like a DI, and the EQ and volume do not affect it. A ground lift switch deals with hum. The kickstand swings out to tilt the cabinet back for monitoring, and a Kensington slot lets you lock it to a fixed point.
