Description
The Avantone Pro CK-1 is a FET small-diaphragm condenser with three interchangeable 19 mm (3/4") capsules: cardioid, hypercardioid, and omni. One body covers overheads, hi-hat, acoustic instruments, and ensemble work by swapping capsules instead of swapping microphones.
Interchangeable Capsules
Cardioid is the everyday pattern for close and overhead work. Hypercardioid tightens rejection for denser kits and stages. Omni opens the field for room and stereo techniques. A -10 dB pad and 80 Hz high-pass adapt the mic to loud sources and proximity effect.
Typical Uses
Drum overheads and hi-hat, acoustic guitar, piano, strings, woodwinds, and chamber ensembles. The included SSM shockmount isolates stand vibration for cleaner small-diaphragm capture.
