Description
Avantone Pro Planar the II is an open-back, over-ear headphone with large planar-magnetic drivers for long mixing, mastering, and reference sessions. Front-and-rear magnet arrays drive a thin diaphragm evenly for low distortion and fast response, and the open-back chamber avoids the pressure build-up of closed designs. This listing is the Red finish.
Planar Magnetic Drivers
Each cup uses a 70 x 95 mm planar driver with N50SH neodymium magnets and a 21 micron PET diaphragm. Rated THD is below 0.1% at 100 dB. A 32 Ω load and 104 dB/1 mW sensitivity make the headphones easy to drive from interfaces, hi-fi systems, or dedicated headphone amps (minimum >100 mW, recommended >250 mW).
Session Practicalities
A high-grade removable 3.5 mm cable can be plugged into either earcup. A 1.5 m (5') cable, 3.5 mm to 1/4" adapter, and eco-friendly carrying bag ship in the box. Optional replacement cables and earpads are available separately.
