Description
The Austrian Audio OD5 is an active-dynamic cardioid instrument microphone built around the ODC50 capsule. Phantom-powered active circuitry preserves level and noise performance over long cable runs and enables real high-pass filters that passive dynamics cannot offer. The result is a tight, focused tone with headroom for drums, guitar amps, and wind instruments on stage or in the studio.
220° Swivel Placement
The basket swivels through 220° so you can lock onto a snare or cab sweet spot quickly without rebuilding the stand every time. A rugged metal enclosure is built for nightly load-ins and loud backlines.
Pad and Filters
A -10 dB pad pushes max SPL past 160 dB for heavy hitters. 80 Hz and 120 Hz second-order low-cut filters clean up rumble and proximity before the preamp. Pair with the DPH12 rim holder for drum mounts without a separate boom.
