Description
The Austrian Audio OC18 is the cardioid sibling of the OC818, sharing the same CKR6 ceramic capsule architecture and Open Acoustics design for open, detailed large-diaphragm condenser sound without multipattern complexity. Onboard -10/-20 dB pads and 40/80/160 Hz low-cut filters cover whispers through loud cabinets and drums.
Open Acoustics and Matching
Open Acoustics reduces internal reflections and standing waves around the capsule so the source stays clear and resonance-free. Every CKR6 is handmade and measured in Vienna. Any OC18 matches any other OC18 out of the box, and pairs with any OC818 set to cardioid for mixed stereo or multi-mic setups.

Use the OC18 on vocals, acoustic guitars, drum overheads, piano, strings, and broadcast voice when you want OC818 cardioid character in a simpler single-pattern package.
