Description
The Austrian Audio CC8 SC is the supercardioid sibling of the CC8 small-diaphragm true condenser. It uses the same OCC7 capsule family with a tighter polar pattern for stages and sessions where you need more rejection of neighboring sources. High SPL capability and a smooth top end keep percussion, brass, and guitar amps clear without the harsh edge some small condensers add under pressure.
Pads, Filters, and Matching
Switchable -10/-20 dB pads and 60/120 Hz high-pass filters manage proximity effect and extreme levels. Like the cardioid CC8, each unit is factory-calibrated so SC mics can be paired with each other for stereo or multi-mic setups that need a narrower pattern.
Typical Uses
Choose the CC8 SC when cardioid is too wide: live drum kits, dense horn sections, close acoustic instruments in noisy rooms, or any placement where spill control matters as much as detail.
