Description
The Audio-Technica AT-LP8X is a semi-automatic direct-drive turntable that plays 33-1/3, 45, and 78 RPM records and outputs phono-level audio only (no built-in preamp). At the end of a side the tonearm lifts and returns.
Tonearm and Plinth
A static-balanced J-shaped tonearm (effective length 247 mm / 9.7") ships with an AT-LT10 headshell and AT-VM95E BK cartridge (0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical). Included light subcounterweight extends cartridge/headshell weight to 17.5 to 23.5 g. The MDF cabinet holds a die-cast aluminum platter with a rubber damper. An internal switching power supply is specified for audio use.
