Description
The ASM Hydrasynth Deluxe is the flagship of the Hydrasynth line, pairing a dual sound engine (16 voices total) with a 73-key semi-weighted Polytouch polyphonic aftertouch keybed. In Single mode the full 16 voices play one patch; in Multi mode two independent 8-voice engines can be split, layered, or assigned to separate MIDI channels for true bi-timbral operation, each with its own balanced stereo output.
Dual Sound Engine
Each of the two engines carries the full Hydrasynth architecture: three WaveScan oscillators per voice (219 waveforms), four Mutator waveshapers (8 modes), a five-source mixer, and two filters in series or parallel (16-model Filter 1 plus 12 dB/oct SEM-style Filter 2). Multi mode provides Key Split with adjustable crossover point, or Dual mode for layering two patches across the full keyboard, with a dedicated panel balance knob controlling relative levels.
Polytouch Keybed and Expression
The 73-key semi-weighted Polytouch keybed offers polyphonic aftertouch, note-on/off velocity, and monophonic channel aftertouch, all independently routable. A 4-octave (67 cm) ribbon controller supports pitch-bend, Theremin, and CC modulation modes. Dedicated pitch and mod wheels complete the performance controls.
