Description
The Apogee Symphony Studio 8x16 is a 1U rackmount USB-C audio interface with eight microphone/line inputs and sixteen line outputs, the largest configuration in the Symphony Studio range. Sixteen outputs cover a 9.1.6 Dolby Atmos array, so one rack space handles both tracking and immersive monitoring.
Inputs and Outputs
Eight mic/line inputs with up to 75 dB of preamp gain and +48V phantom power handle multi-microphone tracking sessions. Sixteen balanced line outputs on DB25 drive immersive monitor arrays up to 9.1.6, and two headphone outputs can be addressed independently.
Onboard DSP
Every input has a DSP channel strip with EQ and dynamics that runs on the interface, so you can monitor or record processed signal without plug-in latency. The outputs have their own DSP for Room EQ, per-output delay for speaker alignment, and bass management, which matters when the monitor setup is a surround or immersive array rather than a single stereo pair.
