Description
The Apogee Symphony Studio 2x12 is a 1U rackmount USB-C audio interface with two microphone inputs and twelve line outputs. The output count is the point of this model: it feeds a 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos monitoring array directly from the interface, while still providing two Symphony-grade preamps for tracking voice or an instrument.
Inputs and Outputs
Two mic/line inputs on XLR connectors handle voiceover, dialogue, and single-instrument tracking with up to 75 dB of preamp gain. Twelve balanced line outputs on DB25 drive monitor arrays up to 7.1.4, and two headphone outputs can be addressed independently for an engineer and a client.
Onboard DSP
Every input has a DSP channel strip with EQ and dynamics that runs on the interface, so you can monitor or record processed signal without plug-in latency. The outputs have their own DSP for Room EQ, per-output delay for speaker alignment, and bass management, which matters when the monitor setup is a surround or immersive array rather than a single stereo pair.
