Description
The Apogee Symphony I/O Mk II 8x8 MP is a 2U rackmount multichannel audio interface built on the Symphony I/O Mk II chassis, configured here with an 8x8 MP module, plus Dante network connectivity with DigiLink included. As delivered it provides 8 analog inputs and 8 analog outputs including 8 mic preamps, running through Apogee's flagship conversion.

Connectivity
A Dante option card puts the interface I/O on a Gigabit Ethernet network, patched from Audinate's Dante Controller, which suits installations and multi-room facilities where audio has to travel beyond an analog or Thunderbolt run. The card also carries DigiLink connectivity for Pro Tools HDX and HD Native systems.
Chassis and Control
The Symphony I/O Mk II chassis holds Apogee's flagship conversion, a front-panel color touchscreen for input selection, gain, metering, and monitor control at the rack, and two module bays for up to 32 channels. Because the I/O is modular, the same chassis can be re-specified later as the room's channel count changes. Apogee's Symphony Control software mirrors the hardware controls on the computer, and the optional Apogee Control hardware remote adds a physical level knob and assignable buttons.
