Description
The Apogee Jam X is a pocket-sized USB instrument interface for guitar, bass, and other instruments with pickups. It combines Apogee PureDIGITAL conversion with an analog amp circuit that adds compression and overdrive before the signal hits the converter. Plug in a 1/4" cable, monitor from the 3.5 mm output, and record to a Mac, Windows PC, iPad, or iPhone.
Analog Amp Circuit
Three switchable analog presets (Smooth Leveler, Purple Squeeze, and Vintage Blues Stomp) shape the instrument signal with compression and overdrive before conversion, so the tone is printed as recorded. The circuit can also be bypassed for a clean direct capture. Blend mode mixes the dry input with the computer return for low-latency monitoring.
