SoundSwitch builds lighting control systems that sync directly to your DJ software. Based in the Netherlands, they've become the standard for automated lighting in clubs and mobile setups. DMX Control for DJs

SoundSwitch systems use DMX512 protocol to control compatible lighting fixtures. The software reads your track's waveform, detects drops and buildups, and sends commands to your lights automatically. You can override with manual triggers, adjust intensity on the fly, or let the system run fully automated. The interface is designed for DJs, not lighting technicians. You don't need to know DMX addressing or fixture profiles to get started. SoundSwitch handles the technical side so you can focus on your set. Their hardware interfaces connect via USB and support multiple DMX universes for larger rigs.

Integration with DJ Software

SoundSwitch reads your library metadata and track analysis from your DJ software. It knows when a track is building, when it drops, and when it's winding down. The system creates lighting scenes based on genre tags, energy levels, and your custom settings. You can preview lighting cues in the software before your set, save custom scenes for specific tracks, and build a library of lighting presets. The software runs on Mac and Windows, and updates regularly to support new DJ software versions and lighting fixtures.
