About Ear Candy Technologies

Ear Candy Technologies is a Mexico City-based plugin developer founded in 2021 by Rodolfo Ortiz Torres and Sergio Mora Camargo. The company grew out of a student project at Tec de Monterrey, where a team of audio engineering students built a quadraphonic panning plugin and decided to keep going. Today they make VST, VST3, AU and AAX plugins for macOS and Windows, covering stereo imaging, chorus, granular processing, filtering, pitch manipulation and distortion. Their signature move is a proprietary "Flavor" tone-shaping algorithm that runs across the product line, plus food-themed naming that makes the catalog instantly recognizable. SweetPoint, their mid-side stereo field optimizer developed with electronic music producer and researcher Flavio Everardo, includes an in-house "Smart Assistant" that explains its stereo-imaging suggestions in plain language.
