Yorkville EXM Pro6 and Pro8: New Battery-Powered PAs at Blackout Audio
Yorkville Sound just expanded the EXM Pro battery-powered lineup with two smaller cabinets built for musicians, presenters, educators, and event work that needs real PA output without a wall outlet. The EXM Pro6 is the little brother of the family. The EXM Pro8 replaces the discontinued EXM Mobile8 with a stronger mixer section and longer battery life.
Both are now listed at Blackout Audio with Canadian MAP pricing, and they sit cleanly under the EXM Pro10 and Pro12 we already carry.
New Yorkville EXM Pro Speakers at Blackout Audio
Two new battery-powered PAs, same EXM Pro feature set: onboard 3-channel mixer with FX, Bluetooth streaming with wireless stereo linking, USB device charging, and up to 12 hours of runtime.
Yorkville EXM Pro6: Compact Battery-Powered PA
The EXM Pro6 is the most compact speaker in the EXM Pro lineup. It puts a 6" woofer and 1" HF driver in a cabinet that weighs about 11 lb, with 250 W peak (125 W program), 120 dB peak SPL, and up to 12 hours on a charge.
You get a full 3-channel mixer with selectable mic, line, and instrument inputs, plus EQ, reverb, delay, and compression on every channel. Three voicing modes (Live, Club, Mon), 24V phantom power, and Bluetooth stereo linking make it a grab-and-go box for light-duty reinforcement.
At $649 CAD MAP, it is the entry point into the EXM Pro battery line for solo players, fitness instructors, classrooms, and small outdoor sets.
Best for: the lightest EXM Pro option when portability matters more than raw output.
Yorkville EXM Pro8: Mobile8 Replacement with Longer Runtime
The EXM Pro8 steps up to an 8" neodymium woofer and a 5"/1" coaxial HF section for deeper bass, still under 17 lb. Peak power is 400 W (200 W program) with 123 dB peak SPL and the same up-to-12-hour battery claim.
Yorkville positions it as the replacement for the discontinued EXM Mobile8, with a clearer input/output section and extended battery life. The mixer, FX, Bluetooth stereo link, and USB charging match the rest of the Pro range.
At $849 CAD MAP, it lands at the same street price the Mobile8 held, with a more modern I/O layout for gigging musicians and presenters.
Best for: anyone moving up from Mobile8, or needing more bass than the Pro6 without jumping to the Pro10.
More Yorkville EXM Battery-Powered PA
If the Pro6 or Pro8 has you looking at the rest of the EXM family, these are the larger and more specialized options in the range. The Pro10 and Pro12 are the larger 48V battery cabinets; the Mobile Tower and Mobile Sub cover column and low-end needs for bigger portable systems.
The EXM Pro10 and EXM Pro12 bring more output and the 48V battery platform. Pair either new Pro with the EXM Pro Sub or Mobile Sub when you need more low end outdoors.
