sE Electronics KLS 150: Closed-Back Studio Headphones With Adjustable Bass (2026)
The sE Electronics KLS 150 is $209 CAD. It is a closed-back studio headphone for people who track, mix and monitor in the same pair, and it adds something most monitoring headphones leave out: a bass control you set yourself.
The bass control
Most studio headphones ship with one fixed tuning, and you learn to hear around it. The KLS 150 puts a Bass Control on each earcup, so you can turn the low end up for a drummer who needs to feel the kick on stage, or pull it back when you are checking a mix.
The controls sit under interchangeable earcup covers. That keeps a knocked headphone from changing your low end halfway through a session, and the covers come off with the opening tool in the box.
Isolation and comfort
sE built the earcups with a dual-shell design for passive isolation. On a loud stage that means you hear your mix instead of the room. When you record, it cuts the bleed that a click track or a backing mix leaks into a nearby vocal mic.
Memory foam and leatherette ear pads handle comfort and the seal. Laser-etched markings on the headband let you return to the same fit every time. The earcups swivel 90 degrees for one-ear monitoring, and the headband folds several ways to pack into the included pouch.
Built for the road
The frame uses glass-fiber reinforced parts and corrosion-resistant spring steel, which keeps it light at 335 g without the headphones feeling fragile. The 3 m cable detaches and locks in place, so a cable yank on stage does not end the song, and a broken cable is a cheap swap instead of a new pair.
What is in the box

- 3 m (10 ft) straight cable

Velour ear pads, a coiled cable and a case are sold separately if you want to change the fit or the setup later.
Who it is for
Musicians who need isolation on stage get the dual-shell cups and the locking cable. Engineers tracking vocals get lower bleed. Anyone who has found a flat headphone too thin, or a hyped one too heavy, gets a low end they can set. If you mix exclusively on headphones and want an open-back sound, this is not that headphone. The KLS 150 is built to keep sound in and out.
