Collection: Fluid Audio

Studio monitors and desktop speakers that punch above their price.

About Fluid Audio

Fluid Audio is a California-based studio monitor manufacturer that's built a reputation for delivering serious performance at accessible prices. Founded by audio engineer Kevin Zuccaro, the company focuses on one thing: making monitors that sound accurate without requiring a second mortgage. Their designs lean on coaxial driver technology and waveguide engineering borrowed from high-end studio gear, then package it in cabinets that fit home studios and project spaces. The result is a line of monitors that compete with models twice their price. Their Image series and FX line have become go-to choices for producers working in untreated rooms who need honest playback.

Coaxial Studio Monitors

The Image series uses coaxial driver design, where the tweeter sits in the center of the woofer. This creates a single point source for better stereo imaging and more consistent frequency response across the listening position. The Image 2 is the flagship here, a coaxial design that handles everything from mix referencing to mastering checks. You get a wider sweet spot than traditional designs, which matters when you're moving around the room or working with a client. The coaxial approach also means less phase smearing between drivers. If you've been fighting comb filtering in a small room, this design helps.

FX Series Nearfields

The FX line is coaxial as well, with the tweeter mounted at the centre of the woofer behind a custom-tuned waveguide to control dispersion. The FX80 V2 and FX50 V2 both feature front-ported designs, so you can place them closer to walls without bass buildup. The 8-inch FX80 V2 pushes low end down to 35Hz, which covers most electronic music and hip-hop without needing a subwoofer. Both models include room correction switches on the back panel for high-frequency and low-frequency adjustment. Simple, but effective when you're dealing with reflective surfaces or corner placement.

Desktop and Bluetooth Monitors

Fluid's C-series bridges the gap between studio monitors and desktop speakers. The C5BT, C35BT, and C50BT all include Bluetooth connectivity alongside wired inputs, so you can reference mixes and stream reference tracks without cable swapping. The C50BT uses a 5-inch woofer and delivers actual stereo imaging at desk distance, not the fake width you get from most Bluetooth speakers. These work for producers who need one set of speakers for production and casual listening. The DS5 and DS8 are the studio-only versions without Bluetooth, built for engineers who want dedicated nearfields with no wireless circuitry in the signal path.
