The AL-1 Limiter

The AL-1 is a mastering limiter that breaks from industry norms. Most limiters use look-ahead buffers and hard clipping to catch peaks; the AL-1 uses an original algorithm based on physical modelling, resulting in near-zero latency and a different sonic character. Its stereo linking is correlation-based, so the amount of linking adjusts dynamically depending on how in-phase your program material is. This makes it particularly useful for mastering work where stereo image integrity matters. The AL-1 is available as a perpetual licence or on a ten-instalment rent-to-own plan, with a 30-day trial.
