Atlas Sounds develops virtual instrument plugins for regional percussion. Their debut release, Oriental Drummer, is a MIDI groove drum machine covering Arabic, Anatolian, Balkan, Greek, Khaliji, Persian and modern rhythms. Unlike sample libraries that rely on pre-rendered audio loops, Oriental Drummer runs as a standalone plugin and outputs MIDI patterns you drag directly into your DAW. That means you can edit velocities, swap instruments, and retime grooves without bouncing stems or resampling. The plugin ships with over 2,000 MIDI patterns organized into 150+ fully arranged styles, each with intros, variations, fills, breaks and endings.

Oriental Drummer

Oriental Drummer gives you a complete rhythm section for Middle Eastern and Mediterranean production. Each of the 150+ styles includes three intros, four variations, four fills, a break and an ending, so you can build arrangements that move through sections without looping the same four-bar phrase. The plugin supports up to 16 configurable multi-output groups with per-group EQ, envelope and reverb send, so you can route individual drums to separate DAW channels for detailed mixing. It runs on macOS 10.15+ (Intel and Apple Silicon) and Windows 10+ in VST3, AU and AAX formats, installs at roughly 200 MB, and activates on up to three computers. The drag-and-drop MIDI workflow means you can audition patterns in real time, then edit them like any other MIDI clip once they're in your session.
