Orders above $199 qualify for Free Standard Shipping.

Description
The Warm Audio BUS-COMP is an all-analog, 2-channel stereo VCA bus compressor designed for mix bus, drums, vocals, and instrument groups. Built around premium THAT 2180 VCAs and a discrete op-amp stage, the BUS-COMP delivers smooth, transparent compression that glues stereo mixes together with the polished cohesion associated with classic large-format console dynamics.
CineMag Transformer Insert
A front-panel switch inserts custom CineMag USA input and output transformers into the signal path, driven by fully discrete op-amps. This adds harmonic depth and analog color to the compressed signal, providing a quick way to switch between transparent and transformer-colored compression without repatching.
Dynamics Control
- Sidechain high-pass filter: Selectable 30, 60, 105, 125, 185 Hz prevents low frequencies from triggering compression
- External sidechain input: XLR for key-input triggering from a separate source
- Compressor engage switch: Instant A/B comparison between compressed and uncompressed signal
Stereo and Dual-Mono Operation
In stereo linked mode, both channels track together for matched gain reduction, keeping the stereo image centered under compression. Disengaging the link enables independent dual-mono operation, allowing two separate sources to be compressed with individual threshold, ratio, attack, and release settings on a single 1U chassis.
