Waldorf Iridium 16-Voice Digital Desktop Synthesizer

The Waldorf Iridium is a 16-voice, duo-timbral digital desktop synthesizer that packs the Quantum multi-engine synthesis platform into a metal desk module with a touchscreen and pad matrix. It is aimed at sound designers and performers who want Quantum-class engines without the full Quantum keyboard footprint.

Synthesis engines

Each of the three oscillators per voice can run wavetable, classic waveforms, multi/granular sampling, Kernel (FM-style), or resonator algorithms. Digital stereo filter stages, deep modulation, and effects sit after the oscillators so you can move from sharp digital tones to dense pads and sample-based textures in one instrument.

Workflow and mounting

An interactive touchscreen and RGB pad matrix support note, chord, arpeggio, and sequence playing. Internal sample flash plus a microSD slot handle libraries. The underside has a VESA 75 mount; optional 19" rack ears fit the Iridium / Kyra / M chassis family.
