Description
The Universal Audio Apollo Twin X DUO Gen 2 is a 10 x 6 desktop Thunderbolt 3 audio interface with DUO Core (two SHARC processors) for realtime UAD plug-in processing, two Unison mic preamps, and elite-class Apollo X Gen 2 conversion at 24-bit / 192 kHz. It is built for tracking and mixing on a desktop Mac or Windows system with near-zero-latency Unison preamp and amp emulations.
Unison Preamps and DSP
Two Unison-enabled mic preamps and a front-panel Hi-Z instrument input can physically match the impedance and gain behavior of modeled classic preamps and amps when a Unison UAD plug-in is loaded. Onboard DUO Core DSP runs UAD plug-ins in realtime for tracking, and can be combined with native host processing for larger mix sessions. The UAD Console app provides Auto-Gain, Plug-In Scenes, Bass Management, alternate speaker switching, integrated talkback, and Apollo Monitor Correction powered by Sonarworks on the monitor and headphone paths.
