Description
The VR1 Voodoo is a passive figure-8 ribbon microphone that extends ribbon frequency response to 18 kHz without active electronics or output transformers. A hand-tensioned 2.5-micron aluminum ribbon and proprietary acoustic design deliver detail and bite on guitar cabinets, overheads, and close-miked sources where traditional ribbons sound dark or muddy in the highs.
The compact, flat chassis fits in tight spaces: inside a kick drum, against a guitar cab, or on a stand with the included custom shockmount. Phantom power is not required, and the mic is phantom-protected if your preamp cannot disable 48V.
