The Roland J-6 Chord Synthesizer pairs 100 genre-spanning chord sets with the lush sound of the JUNO-60, recreated through Roland's Analog Circuit Behavior (ACB) technology. With one-touch chord triggering, a 64-step chord sequencer, and style banks that transform static chords into arpeggios and rhythmic phrases, the J-6 turns chord progressions into complete musical performances without requiring any music theory knowledge.
Chord Sequencing & JUNO-60 Engine
The J-6 makes songwriting and live performance accessible by mapping full chord voicings to individual keys. Select from 100 chord sets covering a wide range of genres and compose progressions on the fly with single button presses. Style banks and variations inject dynamic movement, transforming held chords into sweeping arpeggios and rhythmic patterns. A hold button keeps the groove running while you adjust parameters.
The 64-pattern chord sequencer stores progressions with up to 64 steps each, letting you program chord changes, style variations, single notes, and tempo changes per step. The JUNO-60 sound engine provides 64 ACB-modeled presets, with real-time control over filter, envelope, and customizable reverb and delay effects. The J-6 also functions as a standalone JUNO-60 sound module playable from its onboard keyboard or external MIDI controllers.
