The TORAIZ-AS-1 is a monophonic analog synthesizer developed in collaboration with Dave Smith Instruments. Its sound engine is built on the Prophet-6's discrete analog circuitry, with two VCOs, a 4-pole resonant low-pass filter (self-oscillating), a 2-pole resonant high-pass filter, two ADSR envelope generators, a VCA, and an LFO.

Sound Engine

Each VCO produces continuously variable triangle, sawtooth, and pulse waveforms. The effects section inherits the Prophet-6's dual FX engine: bucket-brigade delay, ring modulation, chorus, phaser, and digital distortion. 495 preset programs are organized across 10 banks.

Sequencer and Performance

A built-in 64-step sequencer is stored per program, and the arpeggiator syncs to external clock sources. The 13-note touchpad keyboard and pitch/mod ribbon slider allow real-time performance control.
