Description

The Vibraphone Collection for Pianoteq includes two virtual instruments, V-M and V-B, faithfully reproducing the characteristic sound of two renowned vibraphone brands. The V-M is modeled after a Musser vibraphone (USA) owned by the celebrated French vibraphonist Dany Doriz, while the V-B is based on a Bergerault vibraphone (France).

Both vibraphones feature metallic bars, thin-walled tube resonators, and damper pads, producing the distinctive tonal characteristics of these instruments. Pianoteq’s physical modeling extends their range from 3 to 5 octaves, and multiple instrument variants are provided for added versatility. Adjustable parameters such as mallet hardness and tremolo allow musicians to customize the tone and response to suit their personal style.

With Pianoteq 9, the vibraphones benefit from the new audio engine, offering richer, evolving resonance and enhanced spatial depth. Refreshed Binaural presets provide an immersive and natural listening experience over headphones, making the instruments even more expressive and lifelike.
