Description
The Genelec 8350A is a high-output Smart Active Monitor (SAM) featuring an 8" bass driver, 1" metal dome tweeter, and 350W of Class D amplification. The most powerful 2-way monitor in the SAM range, the 8350A delivers 112 dB of output with bass extension to 33 Hz (-6 dB), providing full-range calibrated monitoring for larger control rooms, mastering suites, and post-production facilities without the need for a separate subwoofer.
Smart Active Monitoring (SAM)
- GLM calibration: Full room acoustic optimization via Genelec Loudspeaker Manager software over GLM network
- Room-adaptive DSP: Multi-band equalization compensates for standing waves, reflections, and boundary effects
- System alignment: Level alignment (60 dB range) and delay alignment (up to 200 ms) for any speaker configuration
- Digital audio: AES/EBU single-wire input and thru output supporting 16-24 bit, 32-192 kHz
