Description
The Furman M-8Dx is a 15-amp 1U rackmount power conditioner from the Merit Series, delivering reliable surge protection and RFI/EMI noise filtering at an accessible price point — perfect for any instrument rig, home studio, or portable rack system. Eight rear-panel outlets with wall-wart spacing accommodate bulky power supplies without blocking adjacent outlets, while the 3-digit LED voltmeter keeps you informed of incoming line voltage at all times. Two pull-out incandescent rack lights add hands-free rear-rack illumination to complete the package.
Surge Protection & Filtering
- Spike protection: Clamps transient voltages from line to neutral with zero ground leakage, defending connected equipment from lightning and switching transients.
- RFI/EMI filtration: Transverse-mode noise attenuation of more than 23 dB from 200 kHz to 10 MHz keeps AC noise out of your signal chain.
- 12,000A peak impulse current: Rated for severe surge events with 170 joules of energy dissipation capacity.
