Description
The Focusrite Clarett+ 4Pre is an 18-in/8-out USB-C audio interface with four Clarett+ mic preamps, all-analogue Air mode, and 24-bit/192kHz conversion with up to 124dB dynamic range.
Preamps and Conversion
Four front-panel XLR/1/4" combo inputs accept mic and line sources, with the first two channels also providing high-impedance JFET instrument inputs. Four additional fixed-gain line inputs on the rear panel bring the total analogue input count to eight. The analogue Air circuit on each preamp replicates the impedance and frequency character of Focusrite's ISA 110 transformer design. Independent A-D and D-A converters deliver ultra-low noise and distortion across all channels.
Digital Expansion
Eight channels of ADAT optical input and stereo S/PDIF I/O provide digital expansion for larger sessions. Two headphone outputs with independent level controls support separate monitor mixes.
