seymour-duncan-11993-21
Seymour Duncan STC-3M3 Music Man Bass Preamp with 3-Knob Harness

The STC-3M3 is the 3-knob version of the Seymour Duncan Music Man tone circuit, designed for StingRay basses. It also works in any bass with one passive pickup and room for three knobs. Pair it with Seymour Duncan Music Man replacement pickups for a complete setup.

It has a stacked bass/treble control, a midrange control and a master volume. The lows are deep and tight, the mids range from smooth to punchy, and the treble is bright without being brittle. Pull up the volume knob to engage the Slap Switch, an EQ contour voiced for slap playing, and set that contour with the two small trim pots on the circuit board. It runs on a single 9V battery, and two 9V batteries can be wired in series for more headroom. It is made for a standard 2-coil Music Man style pickup and will not work properly with a 3-coil Sterling style pickup.

Features

Designed for Music Man StingRay basses

3-band active EQ

Stacked bass/treble, midrange and master volume

Push-pull Slap Switch with adjustable contour

Pre-wired 3-knob harness

Specifications

Model: STC-3M3

Type: Active onboard bass preamp

Pickups: One passive 2-coil pickup

EQ: 3-band (bass, mid, treble)

Controls: Volume with Slap Switch, midrange, stacked bass/treble

Knobs: 3

Power: 9V battery (18V possible with two batteries)

In the Box

Preamp

High-quality potentiometers on a pre-wired harness

Battery clip

Stereo jack

Black anodized, knurled dome knobs
