seymour-duncan-11993-06
Seymour Duncan STC-3P 3-Band Active Bass Preamp for Passive Pickups

The STC-3P is a 3-band onboard preamp for basses with two passive pickups. It lets you boost or cut focused frequencies to dial in your sound in any situation.

It has concentric bass and treble controls, a midrange control, a master volume and a blend control. The treble is bright without being brittle, the midrange can remove honk or add power to solos, and the bass can tighten a boomy instrument or add warmth and punch. Pull up the volume knob to engage the Slap Switch, an EQ contour voiced for slap playing, and set that contour with the two small trim pots on the circuit board. It fits basses with room for four knobs. It runs on a single 9V battery, and two 9V batteries can be wired in series for more headroom.

Features

3-band active EQ for passive pickups

Concentric bass/treble, midrange, master volume and blend

Push-pull Slap Switch with adjustable contour

Pre-wired harness

Specifications

Model: STC-3P

Type: Active onboard bass preamp

Pickups: Two passive pickups

EQ: 3-band (bass, mid, treble)

Controls: Volume with Slap Switch, blend, midrange, concentric bass/treble

Knobs: 4

Power: 9V battery (18V possible with two batteries)

In the Box

Preamp

High-quality potentiometers on a pre-wired harness

Battery clip

Stereo jack

Black anodized, knurled dome knobs
