seymour-duncan-11993-05
Seymour Duncan STC-3A 3-Band Active Bass Preamp for Active Pickups

The STC-3A is a low-noise, high-headroom 3-band onboard preamp for basses with two active pickups. It works as a replacement for your existing electronics or in a new build.

The 4-knob pre-wired harness has a stacked bass/treble control, a midrange control, a master volume and a blend control. The treble is bright without getting brittle, the midrange can remove honk or add punch for solos, and the bass can tighten a boomy instrument or add warmth. Pull up the volume knob to engage the Slap Switch, an EQ contour voiced for slap playing, and set that contour with the two small trim pots on the circuit board. It runs on a single 9V battery, and two 9V batteries can be wired in series for more headroom.

Features

3-band active EQ for active pickups

Stacked bass/treble, midrange, master volume and blend

Push-pull Slap Switch with adjustable contour

Low-noise, high-headroom circuit

4-knob pre-wired harness

Specifications

Model: STC-3A

Type: Active onboard bass preamp

Pickups: Two active pickups

EQ: 3-band (bass, mid, treble)

Controls: Volume with Slap Switch, blend, midrange, stacked bass/treble

Knobs: 4

Power: 9V battery (18V possible with two batteries)

In the Box

Preamp

High-quality potentiometers on a pre-wired harness

Battery clip

Stereo jack

Black anodized, knurled dome knobs
