seymour-duncan-11993-02
Seymour Duncan STC-2P 2-Band Active Bass Preamp for Passive Pickups

The STC-2P is a 2-band onboard preamp that adds tonal range to a bass with two passive pickups. It boosts or cuts at center frequencies voiced for bass guitar, with low noise, low distortion and high headroom, and suits any style.

It has concentric bass and treble controls, a master volume and a blend control. The lows are deep and tight, and the treble is bright without being brittle. Pull up the volume knob to engage the Slap Switch, an EQ contour voiced for slap playing, and set that contour with the two small trim pots on the circuit board. It fits basses with room for three knobs. It runs on a single 9V battery, and two 9V batteries can be wired in series for more headroom. Players include John Pena, Bakithi Kumalo, Doug Pinnick, Chris Chaney, Tye Zamora and Sam Rivers.

Features

2-band active EQ for passive pickups

Concentric bass and treble controls

Master volume and blend

Push-pull Slap Switch with adjustable contour

Low noise, low distortion, high headroom

For nearly all dual-pickup basses

Specifications

Model: STC-2P

Type: Active onboard bass preamp

Pickups: Two passive pickups

EQ: 2-band (bass, treble)

Controls: Volume with Slap Switch, blend, concentric bass/treble

Knobs: 3

Power: 9V battery (18V possible with two batteries)

In the Box

Preamp

High-quality potentiometers on a pre-wired harness

Battery clip

Stereo jack

Black anodized, knurled dome knobs
